TERRAMASTER U12-500 Plus NAS File Server, Intel Core i7-1255U, 16GB RAM, 12 bays

The TerraMaster U12-500 Plus is a high-performance NAS file server designed for small and medium-sized businesses that need a reliable solution for storing, sharing, and securing data. The device is equipped with a 10-core Intel Core i7-1255U processor clocked at up to 4.7 GHz, 16 GB of DDR5 memory expandable to 64 GB, and 12 drive bays for HDDs and SSDs. With two 10GbE ports, two M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 slots, and support for up to 264 TB of storage, this model is well-suited for use as both a central data repository and a professional backup server. The built-in Business Backup Suite further simplifies the creation and management of backups across the entire organization.

High performance for demanding applications

An Intel Core i7-1255U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads ensures smooth system operation. This configuration allows the server to support multiple users simultaneously and perform tasks related to backup, data synchronization, and virtual machine operation. The server comes standard with 16 GB of DDR5 memory, but thanks to two SO-DIMM slots, the memory can be expanded up to 64 GB. This translates to smoother operation and the ability to adapt the device to the company’s growing needs.

Ample Storage Space and Easy Expansion

The U12-500 Plus model offers 12 bays compatible with 3.5-inch HDDs, 2.5-inch HDDs, and SSDs. The maximum supported capacity is as high as 264 TB, allowing the server to store vast amounts of documents, archives, project materials, and multimedia files. Hot-swap support allows drives to be replaced without shutting down the device, which minimizes downtime and simplifies infrastructure management. Additionally, a wide range of RAID configurations enables you to tailor performance and data protection levels to your company’s specific requirements.

Fast Data Transfer and Modern Connectivity

Two 10GbE ports provide high network bandwidth, ensuring that transferring large files, performing backups, and sharing resources runs smoothly even with many active users. The Link Aggregation feature further enhances network connection performance and reliability. Users also have access to three USB 3.1 Type-A ports and one USB-C port, all with a high bandwidth of 10 Gb/s, making it easy to connect external storage devices and peripherals. The device is rounded out by an HDMI port and a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot for further system expansion.

Comprehensive Tools for Data Backup and Recovery

The TerraMaster U12-500 Plus comes equipped with the Business Backup Suite, which integrates Centralized Backup, Duple Backup, TerraSync, CloudSync, and Snapshot. This enables centralized backup of employee computers, physical servers, virtual machines, and data stored in the cloud. The snapshot feature allows you to quickly restore files after accidental deletion or a system failure. This solution makes it easier to build an effective data protection strategy without having to invest in additional software.

Advanced Security for Corporate Data

In a business environment, information security is of critical importance, which is why the server offers a range of features that protect against data loss and unauthorized access. The TOS system supports AES encryption, OTP two-factor authentication, SSL certificates, and protection against failed login attempts. Additional mechanisms, such as Snapshot, HyperLock, and a firewall, enhance the system’s resilience against threats, including ransomware attacks. This enables businesses to protect their resources more effectively and maintain business continuity.
