SMALLRIG RA-D120 120 cm Softbox
The SmallRig RA-D120 is a parabolic softbox with a diameter of 120 cm, designed with a universal Bowens mount, making it compatible with SmallRig RC350D/RC350B/RC450D/RC450B spot lights and other models with this mount available on the market. The latest generation of SmallRig’s proprietary quick-release mechanism allows you to assemble and disassemble the softbox in just 15 seconds, significantly reducing setup time before a shoot. The 16-sided design provides soft, enveloping light with deep and wide diffusion, and the set includes a 45° honeycomb grid and two diffusers with varying degrees of light transmission. The product combines robust construction with ease of use thanks to well-thought-out design solutions.
Instant assembly thanks to a modern mechanism
The new generation of quick-release rod mounts allows you to lift and snap the rods into place in less than 15 seconds. This solution eliminates tedious, time-consuming assembly and reduces the time needed to set up the equipment before a shoot. The simple mechanism makes operation easy for both experienced operators and those just starting out with studio lighting.
Professional-Grade Light Quality
The softbox is made of industrial-grade, double-layer Oxford fabric with a highly reflective inner coating that diffuses light more evenly and softly while preserving the original color temperature (CT) and color rendering index (CRI). The softbox’s 16-sided shape gives the light a soft, enveloping quality with deep and wide shadow falloff. All umbrella rods are made of military-grade steel, which is heat-resistant and can withstand tens of thousands of folding cycles without deformation.
Durable construction designed for light quality
The umbrella rods are mounted on the outside of the structure, ensuring smooth and even coverage of the inner reflective coating. This design minimizes light loss and produces a brighter and softer lighting effect. The external mounting of the ribs also prevents them from shifting or piercing the fabric, which extends the lifespan of the reflective coating and the entire softbox.
Complete kit for various shooting scenarios
The standard kit includes a honeycomb grid, which allows for precise control of the light’s direction and reduces light scatter. Additionally, two high-quality diffusers—an internal and an external one—are included, allowing you to adjust the degree of light softening or achieve higher light transmission depending on your needs. This set of accessories ensures that the RA-D120 softbox is ready for use without the need to purchase additional components. The product comes in a practical carrying case along with a user manual, making it easy to store and transport.
