COUGAR CGR-PR-1050 power supply unit

To curb global warming, a PSU with higher efficiency means the longevity and less energy goes to waste. The COUGAR Polar platinum efficiency series protects the Earth and makes the best for the next generation.
The Polar X2 passes the four strict power excursion tests from PSU ATX 3.0 Guide, in which the spike power consumption must bear up to 200% of the rated power for 100μs.

COUGAR will present the first Platinum efficiency PSU Series, POLAR 1200 and 1050. The 100% Japanese capacitors and 50°C ambient operations with LLC, DC-DC structure generate an environmentally friendly PSU with high-efficiency performance. The fine-tune HDB fan with zero noise mode will also provide the perfect experience for all users in different conditions.

The Polar series is also certified as PLATINUM efficiency rating from Cybenetics Lab.

EVERY OUTPUT IS WORTH SAVING
Save the Earth with Lesser Energy Loss

– The Polar series will reduce the energy waste below 7%.
– With 80Plus Platinum certified to provide the efficiency level up to 92% at 115Vac.
– Less efficiency loss with streamlined board-to-board wave soldering.

ZERO NOISE MODE
ULTRA-SILENCE AT HIGH OUTPUT
Lower Heat Emission for Steady Temperature

– Zero noise mode at 40% loading silent.
– Automatic thermal control to provide an optimal speed-noise ratio.

Using COUGAR’s 135mm HDB silent fan and large inhalation punched hole, the advanced frame increase the concentration of airflow and its fan curvature has been fine-tuned to reduce vibration. The overall fan combination leads to reaching the low fan noise A+ level, tested by Cybenetics Lab.

Awards & Reviews

TECHPOWERUP
„This is the best Cougar power supply I have tested so far. Its build quality is high, and performance close to the ASUS ROG Thor flagship using a modified Seasonic Prime Platinum platform. The Cougar Polar not only meets the notably more expensive ASUS ROG Thor 1200 eye-to-eye in terms of overall performance, but is also dead silent.”

Protection

UVP (Under Voltage Protection)
If the voltages fall below a certain tolerance value on the single lines, the PSU automatically switches off.

OCP (Overcurrent Protection)
If the current on a single line is higher than indicated, the PSU automatically switches off.

SCP (Short-Circuit Protection)
In the case of a short-circuit, this feature prevents damage to the core components of the PSU and its System components.

OVP (Over Voltage Protection)
If the voltages increase above a certain tolerance value on the single lines, the PSU automatically switches off.

OTP (Over Temperature Protection)
If the temperature gets too high, the PSU automatically switches off.

OPP (Over Power Protection)
If the system is oversized and requires more power from the PSU than it can provide, this protection function is activated.

Conformal Coating Protection
Prevention of conductive particles/dust, high humidity, and intruding insects
