ACT SD6522 cable gender changer

Shielded CAT6A network cable coupler with toolless installation
The ACT SD6522 coupler is designed to connect two shielded CAT6A cables with RJ45 connectors. Installation is completely toolless. Simply plug in the RJ45 connectors and twist the water- and dustproof parts together.

IP68: waterproof and dustproof
The coupler has a screwable strain relief to protect the cable from tension and stress. The screw-on strain relief also ensures that the coupler is dustproof and waterproof (IP68). The coupler is suitable for cables with an outer jacket diameter of 4.5-7.5mm.

User scenarios
The ACT Shielded CAT6A Outdoor IP68 RJ45 coupler’s weatherproof housing provides a secure, reliable and protected connection, especially in environments with dust, moisture and physical stress.

Extend cable length: If the existing patch cable is not long enough to reach the desired endpoint, a coupler can be used to connect two cables with RJ45 connector, extending the total length without having to replace the entire cable.

Temporary installations: In situations where a temporary network setup is required, such as events, exhibitions or temporary workstations, a coupler allows for quick and easy connections without the need for permanent cabling solutions.

Field work: In field work scenarios where quick and reliable connections are critical, couplers provide a convenient solution for extending cables in the field.

Network expansion: When expanding a network to new areas within a building or campus, couplers can be used to connect existing cables to new ones, facilitating expansion without the need for extensive new cabling.

Surveillance systems: The coupler is used to join outdoor-rated Ethernet cables that run from each camera to the monitoring station. Its IP68 rating ensures that the connections remain secure and functional despite exposure to rain and humidity.
