TPE is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use thanks to the extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +75°C. Designed for environments with fluctuating temperatures, delivering reliable network performance in both hot and cold conditions.

Unlike conventional patch cables, TPE remains flexible at temperatures down to -40°C, reducing the risk of stiffening or cracking and making installation and cable routing easier in cold environments.

The TPE jacket is particularly suitable for outdoor installations, outdoor network cabinets, warehouses, industrial facilities and other challenging applications where standard patch cables may fall short.

Reliable CAT6A performance
Full copper 24AWG conductors and 50µ gold-plated RJ45 contacts ensure reliable CAT6A performance. The cable supports up to 500MHz bandwidth, 10 Gigabit Ethernet and 4PPoE / PoE++ applications up to 100W. Compliant with ANSI/TIA-568.2-E and 100% tested.

TPE vs LSZH patch cables
ACT offers both Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) and Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) patch cables. There is no better – best; selecting the right cable depends on the application and environment.

One of the main differences lies in flexibility and fire performance. TPE is designed to be highly flexible, durable and resistant to environmental influences. Similar to LSZH, TPE is halogen-free, helping to prevent the release of toxic halogen gases in the event of a fire or short circuit. However, unlike LSZH, the TPE jacket is primarily optimized for flexibility and durability rather than fire performance.

LSZH material is specifically designed for indoor environments where fire safety is a key requirement. In the event of a fire, it produces very little smoke and no toxic halogen gases, helping to improve visibility and reduces potential health risks.

TPE material excels in demanding environments. It offers excellent flexibility, remains flexible at low temperatures and resists UV exposure and everyday wear and tear.
